Shiny smooth to touch, delightful to smell, unbelievable to see, and incredible to taste, Sweet Chocolate is one pepper that satisfies all the senses. And you'll surely hear all kinds of compliments when you use them! Developed by E.M. Meader at the University of New Hampshire, Sweet Chocolate sweet peppers are very generous producers and in a much quicker time than some other varieties (fruit will be ready to pick in as little as 70 days). The peppers begin as green like you'd expect, but then really do the unexpected, turning a delicious, dark chocolate brown and getting only sweeter as they grow. The pepper's four-lobed bell shape has thick walls and tender flesh that's red in color, and its wonderful raw or cooked in salads and sauces and all your other favorite recipes.
